As the Individual Budgets pilot progressed, a number of issues were raised by the pilot sites.
These issues have been captured in logs which are provided below. Most logs are related to the income streams that were used in the pilot, but others are about more general issues.
Each log describes the issue that was raised and what work was done on resolving that issue, including details of any resolutions.
Integrated Community Equipment Services
Integrated Community Equipment Services provide Health and Social Care equipment to those assessed as having a short or long term need living in the community. Services provide for all ages and disabilities.

Supporting People
This is money spent on 'housing related support' to help people live independently in their own home - the money can pay for things like help to develop life skills, such as understanding tenancy agreement, budgeting and cooking, which will enable vulnerable people to be able to live by themselves.

Disabled Facilites Grant
Subject to a means test, the Disabled Facilities Grant gives a mandatory right to any disabled person for grant support for the purpose of altering their dwelling so that they are able to gain access to and use all the normal facilities of home, and to care for others where this is needed.

Council provided social care for adults
This is money that social services spend on day centres, residential care, supported living, meals on wheels and other kinds of 'social care'.

Independent Living Fund
This is money to help disabled people to live in the community.

Access to Work
This can pay up to 100% of the cost of workplace adjustments to help a disabled person take up or retain paid work.
